Lilias Jarding, the owner of NPPhD, is originally from Billings, MT., and a graduate of Colorado State University.

She has received numerous awards for her research, including one from the Western Governmental Research Association, and has received project awards from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency. She received a Bush Leadership Fellowship in 1998 and is a graduate of the Colorado Institute for Leadership Training.

Dr. Jarding holds a Ph.D. in Political Science, with emphasis on public administration, policy, and environmental policy, and an M.S. in Public and Human Services Administration. Over the past 25 years, she has worked in the nonprofit and government sectors, taught at the University level, and provided technical assistance to a variety of organizations.
